Jade’s intervention strategies are drawn from well-researched best teaching practices, knowledge and experience with Orton-Gillingham Math, Singapore Math, Math.U.See and her Certification in Dyscalculia Studies with The College of Teachers, U.K. She received her B.A. (Hons) from the University of Manitoba, is an Associate Member of the Orton-Gillingham Academy and a Certified Practitioner of Triple P-Positive Parenting Program, an evidence-based parenting program used in 25 countries including Canada.
Jade has 30 years of extensive experience as an Educational Therapist and Parent Trainer working in hospitals, childcare agencies, schools and various social agencies. Recognition for her work includes invitations to present at the Vancouver O.G. Conference, workshops, and a nomination for the Triple “P” Practitioner Award in 2006.
Jade’s initiatives in intervention programs have focused on helping children and youth with a wide range of learning needs including Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, Autism, developmental delays, ADHD and other behavioural issues. She is a strong advocate for her students and believes in close working partnerships with parents, schools, and other professionals in order to achieve the best outcomes for students’ learning success.
Jade developed and ran the Math Program at The Reading Clinic in Kingston between 2010-2020.
